STA Celebrates 2024 Zohr Graduation And Advances Technical Education In Egypt
Zohr Applied Technology School recently held a renowned graduation ceremony, which marked a key milestone in its students' academic careers. The ceremony was attended by Eng. Mohamed Elsewedy, Vice President of Elsewedy Electric, as well as notable government and business officials such as the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the Minister of Education and Technical Education, and the Italian Ambassador to Egypt. This conference reiterated Elsewedy Electric's long-standing collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum, ENI IEOC, EGAS, and Petrobel, demonstrating a shared commitment to enabling future professionals through education and technical training.
Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA) also held its annual graduation ceremony, honoring the eleventh class of graduates at Elsewedy Electric's headquarters in Cairo Festival City. With 540 students graduating this year, STA has already generated over 3,500 skilled professionals since its inception in 2011, resulting in an employability rate of over 80%. The celebration honored outstanding students and emphasized STA's position as a pioneer in vocational education. Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked with "Shaghalni" to improve vocational training and employment prospects, demonstrating STA's commitment to building a highly skilled workforce.
To strengthen its global profile, STA actively participated in the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF 12), where its students and team met with international stakeholders. The event gave an excellent opportunity to demonstrate STA's dedication to sustainable urban development and technical competence, reinforcing its objective to provide young people with the skills required for a fast-changing employment market.
