COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT
This is the most efficient type of power plant, using both a gas and a steam turbine to deliver 60% greater efficiency as well as lower operating costs and fuel consumption. Elsewedy Electric have extensive experience in combined cycle power plants. We helped to build the biggest combined cycle plant in Egypt as well as plants elsewhere in Africa and the Gulf. DIESEL ENGINE POWER PLANT
In this configuration a diesel engine drives an alternator to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Despite the high cost of diesel fuel, diesel power stations are suitable in areas of low demand or where coal and water are hard to access. They are also used as a standby power source for hospitals, radio stations, cinemas and telephone exchanges.
