Plug Elsewedy Electric and Morshedy Group Drive EV Expansion in Egypt
Plug Elsewedy Electric, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric, has partnered with Morshedy Group to install high-capacity electric vehicle (EV) chargers across three major developments: One Kattameya in Cairo, Zahra in the North Coast, and Northed, the commercial area of Zahra. The initiative aligns with Egypt's national goals to promote sustainable practices and the wider adoption of electric mobility.
The collaboration will leverage Plug's advanced technology to roll out ultra-fast DC chargers and high-performance AC chargers, ensuring efficient and reliable charging experiences. The Northed site will feature the region’s fastest DC chargers in a commercial area, establishing a new standard for EV infrastructure on the North Coast.
Plug offers a full suite of EV charging solutions tailored to diverse user needs. As the country’s top EV charging provider, Plug combines cutting-edge hardware, software, and services to support seamless charging experiences across Egypt.
The newly installed DC chargers at the three selected locations will provide rapid charging options ideal for public and commercial spaces, while the AC chargers will support sustained charging for home and workplace environments. This multi-site approach enhances accessibility and supports the transition to cleaner transport solutions.
